Ah! Hello, I know you - or rather your pics at Elfwood! wink I like your pics! (And then I talking about all your galleries...)

And now you say Nighty as Sylvester? redface Wow! (Well both do have a tail...) I can btw really see your connection between Gumbo and le Pew (however you spell his name). Can't wait to see them all.

Gowrsh... a fan! smile hehehe... yup, i know Syvesters personality does not match but i was going purely on looks for that one... trust me it looks great. oh come on, you must see the Taz/wolverine connection???

and yeah, the Gambit thing is what started it all... we were drawing Pepe in class, and we were discussing comics that day and well... one thing led to another and we decided that Pepe was just Gambit in disguise. (rogue is, of course, that poor cat that always manages to rub up agianst a freshly painted flagpole before running into him... it explains the white streak and all wink after that, i decided i had to do the rest of the x-men in looney toon form. hehehe.... here's a few more i have done or are planning to do Beast=Gossamer ( it's that big furry red thing in the mad scientists lab.... only blue) Archangel=Wile E. Cyote... now bear with me, picture it, Wile E. blue, with big metal wings that say ACME on them. trust me it'll be hilarious. Chamber=Daffy (it just looks damn good with the beak) Colossus=Foghorn Leghorn... well, he's real big, and he's a farmer.... believe it or not, i have more... but i don't feel like listing them all at once...

Jill, have you read about Wolverine's equivavalent Mean? Well, I believe Taz and Mean look so alike. wink You've made really good choices there... I didn't see Rogue as the poor cat at first, but it's so true once you see it!

Just a little question, who is Roadrunner? I mean, you've got a Wile E. Coyote after all (love his rhyming name)... By the way, why doesn't they name the Marvels like that 'Fred the Red', 'Lue Blue' or 'V. I. Llain' instead of that silly 'Supreme Pontiff'?

Or perhaps as Carl Barks, alliterate the names? As 'Donald Duck' or 'Madame Mim'.

yeah, form Kitty's Fairytale and the 80's miniseries smile i think in the mini he even spins in typical taz fashion when he makes his entrance, if i remember correctly, so i think it was done on purpose wink

roadrunner... actually, i havent thought of anyone tongue i mean, the obvious one would be Quicksilver, i guess, but i think i will go with Speedy Gonzales instead if i get around to Quicksilver. the trouble with Roadrunner is he (is it a he?) it's not anthropomorphic enough... all the rest have enough human characteristics that you can make em characters that are human (well, human with a twist) but roadrunner doesn't even have arms, and that tall skinny neck... it just doesn't translate well.

I shall post the first 2, Gambit and Nightcrawler, on Elfwood in a week, as soon as i get the assignment back (yes i actually turned it in for marks! hehehe...) i suppose i should have scanned it before i turned it in, huh?

oh, I keep leaving out one of the most important characters in the lot, Professor X shall of course be played by... Elmer Fudd.

and congrats to Elwing on artist of the day... both my galleries have been featured (my loth and zone galleries, anyway... i don't think they feature the fan art galleries) so i wont be artist of the day again for a long time most likely... *sigh* elfwood is getting too big. over 1000 galleries in loth now? it's ridiculous, that's 10 000 artists...

Hey Jill! That heat shot of Nighty at your Elfwood gallery is freakin' beautiful! Any chance you might let me put it up on a little website I run?

thank you, be my guest smile i ma half convinced Garney swiped my drawing, whadda ya all think? striking resembalence, no? he even did the hairstyle exactly the same, and mine was drawn first. hehe.. kiddin, just a coincidence, i'm sure. and besides, the eyes are differnt shape. anyway, it is not finished, but as mentioned earlier, it wont be until i get myself a new tablet, and at $500 canadian for a 6x8 Intuos 2, (after having used Intuos, i simply can't use a Graphire or any other brand besides Wacom) and me, a college student living away from home, that will be a while.

as for doing something with the characters, i may just do that! the personalities it hink will be all X-men with a BIT of looney toons quirks coming in form time to time... it's funny just seeing them as looney toons, and i think it'll be funnier (this may just be my dry canadian sense of humor) to play it straight and have them act almost normally... i was worried at first about being sued on 2 fronts if i did (unlikely, especially since i would not be making any sort of profit from it, but you never know) but i realized, i am protected because it is a parody, so it's all good!
